| Description: | Ninety-nine percent of all sexually active American women use birth contraceptives at some point in their lives. This should be a mundane fact, but unfortunately birth control has become a controversial issue in this political climate. Politicians are racing to the right to pass the most extreme anti-women and anti-health care bills across our country. Grassroots Campaigns is hiring Assistant Directors to run campaigns on the front-lines to organize people across the country and fight to protect women?s rights and other vital progressive issues by representing a variety of issue based organizations. You will work to manage one of our campaign offices, to build community support, educate the public and recruit new members for a leading non-profit partner organization. In this position, you will take on a great deal of leadership and responsibility, learning how to run a field campaign. You will need strong communication and motivational skills, work ethic and desire for political change. You must have the leadership ability to oversee a team and an orientation towards handling substantial responsibility.
