| Description: | As a core member of a three-person Public Outreach and Communications team, the Online Outreach Specialist executes all of Polaris Project?s online outreach and digital marketing efforts. The Online Outreach Specialist will develop metrics- based goals for advocacy and fundraising campaigns, and identify innovative tactics to achieve those goals and build Polaris Project?s base of support. The position will report to the Director of Communications and is located at our headquarters office in Washington, D.C. Responsibilities: Develop and implement creative online activism and fundraising campaigns to grow grassroots activism and donor base Manage all online communications with supporters, including writing, editing, posting and designing dynamic content for website, email marketing, blog and social networking sites Work closely with Director of Communications and Director of Development to develop and implement all online fundraising activities, including writing and design of quarterly fundraising campaigns, emails, and landing and gift pages. Develop and track Google adword campaigns and adjust campaign spending according to budget requirements Manage and maintain constituent relationship manager system (Salsa Organizing Platform). Create and distribute regular reports on online activities and statistics, including list growth, web analytics and social media Hire and supervise public outreach fellows Coordinate responses to all general email inquiries that come into Polaris Project Additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Two to three years? experience in online communications with proven success in online advocacy, list-building and/or fundraising campaigns Excellent computer skills and knowledge of basic HTML. Experience with the Salsa Organizing Platform and Salesforce is a plus. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Strong graphic design skills, including knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and other relevant software. Knowledge of video editing and production a plus. Interest in and knowledge of issues related to human trafficking and women?s rights, and a commitment to empowering trafficking survivors and treating survivors and vulnerable populations with dignity and respect Highly motivated and organized person with strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Passion for new technology and innovation Bachelor?s degree required |
