We seek a Creative Services Associate in our Washington, DC office to ensure the quality and timeliness of writing, design concept and layout, editorial content, printing and distribution. This person will be responsible for the design, proofreading and production of print and digital media for the organization, while keeping consistent with the established brand. Coordinate all aspects of production from conceptualization to editing process to dissemination Design and layout one-pagers, white papers and other publications Develop look and feel for new programs and events Assist staff in identifying opportunities to repurpose content in innovative ways Maintain overall organizational materials and publications production schedule Maintain branding guide, editorial style and format guidelines for all external communications Manage relationships with vendors, obtain bids for services and ensure cost containment and quality control Work with the website team to maintain CFED's websites and e-marketing tools; create and build graphics, layout web content, design e-blasts and e-newsletters and other web tools Create and/or manage development of new media products (videos, slideshows, webinars, animations, etc.) Maintain digital and hard-copy archive of final publications and all communications materials Additional duties as needed
Either a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team decision-making environment Intermediate to advanced user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and academic and internet search engines Strong verbal and written communication skills Must have prior successful experience creating, proofreading and editing publications in a high volume, deadline-driven environment Proficiency with all Adobe Creative Suite products, with an emphasis on InDesign HTML knowledge required with proficiency in PC platforms Demonstrably high degree of initiative and productivity High level of attention to detail, proofreading skills and excellent organizational abilities
