| Description: | The National Women?s Law Center is seeking a Vice President for Administration & Finance to oversee, implement, and engage in a broad range of responsibilities at the Center. The role of the Vice President for Administration & Finance is to facilitate, enable, and support the Center and all of its parts so that the programmatic work is carried out in an effective and efficient manner. Exercising authority and part of the Center?s senior management team, this position provides leadership, planning, management, oversight, and engagement in all major financial, human resources, IT and administrative operations of the Center. The Vice President for Administration & Finance reports directly to the Co-Presidents; works with the Board and Finance and Audit Committees of the Board; and supervises a staff of nine (including the Director of Human Resources, Director of Operations/Controller, Director of Finance and Director of Information Technology). The Organization The National Women's Law Center serves as a national resource for those who are committed to advancing the status of women through law. Since 1972, the Center has been working to advance and protect women's rights. The Center's goal is to affect public and private sector policies and practices to reflect the needs and rights of women. Areas of central concern include education and employment opportunities, health and reproductive rights, and family economic security. The varied and complementary tools used by the Center include advocacy, research, litigation and public education. The Center is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization with a staff of over 50 and an annual budget of approximately $10 million. The Center's work is varied, and entails representation of women's interests in federal courts, before administrative agencies and in Congress, and through participation in coalitions of organizations working on issues affecting women at both the federal level and in the states. Qualifications Applicants should have at least ten years of progressive experience in all aspects of not-for-profit operations including the oversight of accounting and finance, human resources, information technology and office administration activities. Excellent inter-personal, written and oral communications skills; a commitment to working on the Center?s issues; and, a master?s degree in Business, Management, Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred.
