| Job Title: | Fall Intern |
| Organization: | The National Council for Research on Women (NCRW) |
| Region: | East Coast |
| Description: | NCRW INTERNSHIP PROGRAM For three decades, The National Council for Research on Women has helped advance rights and opportunities for women and girls, both nationally and globally. Some 100 member research, policy, and advocacy centers with more than 2,000 top-level researchers comprise The Council's network of affiliates. The Council also works collaboratively with its Corporate Circle network of major companies and Presidents Circle network of leaders in higher education. Our mission seeks to foster more equitable futures for women and girls by providing the necessary information and research, and convening diverse experts to help formulate strategies, policies, and practices for women and girls' advancement. Through The Council's highly-focused, accessible, and timely research linked with real-life solutions, as well as research-action groups organized around urgent issue areas, rapid-response communications campaigns, and a website featuring the expertise and information produced by our network, The Council delivers the facts, promotes informed activism, and encourages positive change for women's issues. The National Council for Research on Women's intern program exposes interns to the inner workings of a non-profit while providing valuable job training, mentoring, and networking opportunities. At the same time that the program introduces interns to the daily and long-term issues non-profits currently face, NCRW immerses interns in a wide range of women's issues and introduces them to an extensive network of researchers, advocates, and activists to enrich a Women's Studies-focused education. Interns participate in various Council projects and activities involving our network of member centers that will expand their awareness of jobs available within the feminist community and may encourage their return to The Council or our member centers as future employees.
