| Description: | Obama for America - DC is seeking a talented individual to join our team in order to assist with outreach to Women voters and potential volunteers.This is an unpaid, volunteer position. This person will: Build a strong team of volunteers to work with the campaign to mobilize voters Hold 1:1 meetings with potential volunteers to develop relationships and plan events Organize phone banks, house parties and community events Learn strategies for organizing and receive mentorship from campaign staff Candidates for this Fellowship must be: Familiar with the key issues for women voters Passionate about reproductive rights and pay equity Enthusiastic about re-electing President Obama Willing to volunteer long and irregular hours at times, potentially including weekends Interested in people-centered, metrics driven work Willing to travel around the city talking to people, not sit behind a desk Goal oriented Able to work either part time (15 hours per week) or full time (40 hours per week) until election day Ideal Candidates will: Have passed campaign experience Have experience organizing on women's issues To Apply: Please email a resume and cover letter specific to this position to Carly.Pildis.OFA.DC@gmail.com, Subject: Women for Obama Outreach Fellow |
