| Description: | The Director, Healthcare Management Consulting will provide onsite turnaround leadership and management to Planned Parenthood management and affiliate designates. The Director, a position newly created at the request of affiliate leadership, will help navigate affiliate operations as they work to maintain stability and offer viable alternatives and direction. The Director will be instrumental in resolving urgent operational and financial situations and implementing the rapid changes often needed during distressed times. The Director's role includes the authority to make recommendations and implement restructuring decisions made or approved by PPFA management and affiliate designates. An effective Director possesses extensive leadership experience (previous CEO, COO, or Director of Operations) for a healthcare organization and/or significant healthcare consulting background. The Director will typically serve as an interim COO for a Planned Parenthood affiliate with responsibilities in strategic planning and setting short-term and long-term goals to fulfill the affiliate's mission. Financial management is also a key responsibility and will develop and implement operational aspects of the budget, provide financial analysis and make recommendations regarding financial decisions, oversee metrics and identify areas of cost savings. Other areas of responsibility may include facilities, administration, project management and human resources. Duties will include evaluation of staff, negotiating contracts and managing staff. This role requires the ability to put in place internal processes to ensure the operational mission of the affiliates are achieved. This position requires the utmost flexibility; this is a 100% travel position and will not be based in the National Office. PPFA will provide onsite housing stipends and travel stipends to/from the Director's home base.
