| Description: | The nation’s largest and oldest nonprofit organization committed to improving care and expanding end of life choice is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Regional Clinical Coordinator for the End-of-Life Consultation Program in northern California. This region extends from approximately the Monterey Bay and north with a primary focus in the San Francisco bay area. The qualified person will have clinical experience and knowledge regarding advance planning and death and dying. Our preference would be a retired hospice nurse but extensive clinical knowledge in this area without an RN, or with other degree, would be considered. It is also of vital importance that the applicant has a strong and confident background with different types of software applications and is technologically savvy. Experience managing others, specifically volunteers, is a plus. The position will be an hourly position beginning at approximately 24 hours a week, with an increase to 30 hours a week with benefits, on fixed salary, after 90 days if approved by the candidate and organization. The position does require the ability to travel, almost always within a 4 hour distance, but also at least quarterly travel out of state. The first week’s orientation training will be in Portland, Oregon. All travel expenses are reimbursed.
