Job Title: PUBLIC EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Description: Organizational Overview:
NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado Foundation (NPCCF) is a statewide 501(c)(3) organization that in association with our sister organization NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, a 501(c)(4), is dedicated to supporting and protecting every woman's right to make informed personal decisions about a full spectrum of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, or accessing legal abortion. NPCCF carries out research, media relations, advocacy, and community organizing activities to increase public awareness of important reproductive health issues and resources. NPCCF also administers the Prevention First Colorado program and the Prevention First Colorado Coalition that advises on program activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
? (80% of time) Administer, manage and build NPCCF's Prevention First Colorado program and Take Control Birth Control campaign, including vendor management, billing/invoicing, short- and long-term strategic program development and troubleshoot program-related issues, with specific tasks including:
? Working with the Executive Director to expand and maintain the Prevention First Colorado Program and Coalition through phone, in person, and written communications with the strategic goals of (1) diversifying Coalition membership, (2) maintaining the strength and influence of the Coalition, (3) rebuilding and facilitating the Prevention First Colorado policy & education committees, and (4) serving as the primary contact for all Prevention First Colorado Coalition members and inquiries
? Working with Political Director to develop and carry out original research to support implementation of public policy recommendations to prevent unplanned pregnancies in Colorado
? Coordinating with multiple external groups to perform environmental scans and research to understand NPCCF's position within statewide efforts aimed at reducing unplanned pregnancy and increasing healthy birth outcomes
? Facilitating design and implementation of research on contraceptive use among women in Colorado including survey design and distribution, focus groups, analysis and report writing
? Researching grant opportunities and writing grant applications for funding specific to public education & research efforts and Prevention First Colorado programs, assisting other program managers in maintaining grant infrastructure
? Creating and manage budgets for Prevention First Colorado program and the Take Control Birth Control campaign and other public education & research activities, including management and reporting of grant-specific budgets to funding agencies
? (5% of time) Carry out communications functions of the organization, with specific tasks including:
? Posting weekly Facebook and twitter content about local, state and national efforts to reduce unplanned pregnancy
? Writing monthly content for electronic and printed newsletters, fund-raising solicitations, research briefings, press releases or letters to the editor
? (5% of time) Design projects for and oversee interns as part of NPCCF's extensive and robust intern program

Qualified Candidates Will Have:
? Strong commitment to full reproductive justice and be unapologetically pro-choice with a strong background in the evolution of the reproductive justice movement
? Two to three years of professional experience with an emphasis on program management, research skills, and strategic planning
? Experience working with diverse constituencies in a culturally respectful manner
? Bilingual proficiency
? Grant-writing and other fund-raising experience
? Motivation and direction that requires minimal managerial oversight
? Ability to maximize excellent written and oral communication skills
? Sense of humor that balances professional demands
? Superior organizational, interpersonal and phone skills
? Proficiency in: all Microsoft Office applications, Internet research, and familiarity with PC computing environment
? Inquisitive mind, willingness to push boundaries, and passion to do things differently
