Mission: The Boston Women's Fund is a progressive foundation that supports community based organizations and grassroots initiatives run by women and girls in order to create a society based on racial, economic and social justice. Responsibilities -Support event planning from BWF's 30th Anniversary Gala to the Holiday Open House -Updating and data entry for the organization's fundraising database and communications tools (Raiser's Edge, NetCommunity, Constant Contact, etc.) -Research and summarize information on women and girls in Massachusetts and best practices for philanthropy -Research and outreach to potential organizations for BWF partnerships and grants -Answer phone calls, photocopying, and other administrative tasks -Donor research -Organize and update hard and electronic donor files -Research foundations and corporations and maintain tracking materials -Support grant research and writing -Help to integrate social media into fundraising practices -Generate content for BWF's blog -Other tasks and duties as assigned Requirements -Demonstrated commitment to social justice and/or philanthropy -High attention to detail and accuracy -Computer, communication and critical thinking skills -Raiser's Edge or other donor management software preferred, but not required. -Available for a minimum of 8 hours a week for at least 2 months; additional hours available if preferred Apply Please send a cover letter, resume and 2 references to info@bostonwomensfund.org.
