Job Title: Director, Digital Health Strategy
Organization: Planned Parenthood Federation of America - National Office
Region: East Coast
Description: The Director of Digital Health Strategy is responsible for the strategic development, implementation and management of all online content relating to health education, health services and recruitment of Planned Parenthood staff and volunteers, including content for web properties, mobile and social media. This role requires working with many other departments within Planned Parenthood including Education, Policy & Communications and Human Resources as well as Affiliate staff to produce innovative online content that captures and builds interest in PPFA's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
-Exert highly visible, credible, and persuasive leadership throughout PPFA to build support for the use of highly strategic and coordinated digital strategies to advance the organization's mission.
-Set and maintain the standards of excellence for all digital health content. Guide and oversee the writing, reviewing, editing and updating of health-related content, including digital imagery and video, across web properties, mobile, and social media.
-Build and oversee a Digital Health team, defining roles and responsibilities, setting and achieving team goals, and measuring outcomes.
-Develop content partnerships for PPA's sexual health information and service-related content to greatly expand the reach of the organization in digital spaces.
-Work closely with the Education department to develop new and innovative approaches to engaging teens online around their sexual and reproductive health, with a primary focus on reaching more African American and Latino teens.
-Lead the execution of those approaches.
-Work closely with the Director of Digital Advocacy & Fundraising Strategy to ensure coordination and cohesiveness of content and messaging across all channels.
-Ensure that PPFA's digital tools and content meet the needs of diverse audiences, including African-American, Latino, youth and LGBT individuals and communities.
-Recruit, train, manage and retain diverse, high-performing staff members.
-Work with Vice President of Information Services and other Information Services directors to create and nurture space for ongoing innovations and creative team thinking.
-Develop processes for ongoing testing and analysis of content performance, with a feedback loop towards continual improvement.

Qualifications/Requirements:
-Leadership experience in creating digital tools, particularly to advance social and health goals.
-Passion for, and active participation in, new media.
-A proven track record of recruiting, building, inspiring, and managing teams in a creative environment.
-Excellent writing, editing and visual representation skills.
-Experience in digital production, editing and publishing, including visual content.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to juggle many projects at one time and meet all deadlines.
-Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including track record of handling tough situations diplomatically and leading by being positive.
-Ability to forge consensus among diverse viewpoints when either/or responses are not necessarily the most effective
-Commitment to and experience with communicating effectively with diverse audiences, including African-American, Latino, youth, and LGBT individuals and communities.
-Interest in and/or familiarity with substantive issues of reproductive and sexual health and rights
