Job Title: Strategic Operations Coordinator

Description: Community Education Group (CEG) is a not for profit organization whose mission is to create programs and projects, which address the health, socio-economic, environmental, and systemic challenges facing the African American community. CEG focuses on stopping the spread of HIV and eliminating health disparities in neighborhoods by training community health workers, educating and testing the hard to reach, and sharing our expertise with other organizations through national networks and local capacity building efforts. CEG is dedicated to helping communities hardest hit by HIV/AIDS and other health disparities, and the community-based organizations that serve them. CEG develops innovative programs to assist communities in overcoming cultural and systemic barriers to accessing critical HIV/AIDS information, and facilitates community-directed processes aimed at building bridges to health, planning/policy, and funding processes.

Position Description:
CEG is seeking a Strategic Operations Coordinator to provide guidance to senior program staff with the goal of maximizing the productivity of its core programs. He or she will analyze current processes, develop strategies for process improvements, and implement interim and long-term solutions in the areas of program implementation and evaluation. Most importantly this person will move CEG further along in its transition from an organization that tracks mostly outputs to a more outcome-based framework. The successful candidate will have the ability to take outcome summaries from the program evaluator and effectively package and market them to current and potential funders. This position presents a unique opportunity for an experienced program manager to increase the efficacy of an innovative AIDS service organization that is implementing cutting edge solutions in the fight against HIV and other health disparities.

Core Responsibilities:
-Provide guidance and oversight to CEG's lead program staff
-Monitor the quality and effectiveness of CEG's programs with a focus on achieving and measuring outcomes
-Work with Program Evaluator to ensure CEG is packaging and promoting outcomes effectively to current and potential funders
-Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance program performance and ensure compliance with external monitoring agency standards

Qualifications:
-Demonstrated experience in running successful programs and improving program performance, preferably within an AIDS service organization
-Master's degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work or related field preferred
-Strong knowledge base in the areas of program implementation, evaluation and development
-A proactive thinker with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve
-Good team building skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills
-Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act and Patient Navigation a plus
