| Description: | POSITION AVAILABLE: Fall 2012; ASAP-early November REPORTS TO: Director of Communications/VP, Political and Legislative Affairs HOURS: 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling Monday-Friday between 10am and 6pm COMPENSATION: This position is unpaid. NARAL Pro-Choice New York will help secure academic credit if applicable. SUMMARY: The election intern will support NARAL Pro-Choice New York's political work during the 2012 election cycle, including activities related to our endorsement process and voter guide. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Research information on candidates running for elected office in New York. -Support process of sending out candidate questionnaires and contact campaigns to follow up. -Maintain and update Excel database of candidate information. -Research and compile information, pictures and content for online and offline voter guides. QUALIFICATIONS: -Interest in politics and the political process -A strong commitment to reproductive health and rights -Strong communication skills -Detail oriented, with strong organizational skills -MS Office computer skills, particularly Excel TO APPLY: Please email a resume and cover letter to internships@prochoiceny.org.
