| Description: | The ACLU preserves and expands rights protected under the US & Alaska Constitutions, through public education, legal action, legislative and political advocacy. The EAA will perform a wide variety of duties under the supervision of the Executive and Legal Teams, and will have experience handling a range of administrative, litigation and advocacy related tasks. The ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, organized, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Superior written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail are equally important. Specific duties and responsibilities include: Administrative duties related to a non-profit organization, including: office logistics; relations with Board of Directors, Members, Donors and Clients; and Volunteer support. Ability to draft, edit and produce written work product. Assist with research and special projects as assigned. Review and route all legal documents; and coordinate the processing of electronic and paper legal filings. Maintain litigation calendar. Ability to learn and take on public education, communications, accounting/financial management and fundraising duties preferred. Qualifications include: -Passion for constitutional rights. -Minimum Bachelors degree. -Extremely detail oriented and organized with proven ability to meet deadlines efficiently. -Experience with multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation of diversity is required. -Extensive software experience, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Publisher. -Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred. |
