Feminist Majority Tracks Election Wins for Women

The Feminist Majority is tracking 2006 election results online tonight. On its website, www.FeministMajority.org, the Feminist Majority will track all of the hotly contested races in the House and the Senate, wins for women candidates, and state ballot measures that especially affect women.

“This is an historic election that could result in Nancy Pelosi being the first woman – and first self-proclaimed feminist – elected Speaker of the House,” said Eleanor Smeal, president of the Feminist Majority. “This could also be a record year for women elected to Congress.”

Stay up-to-the-minute on the 2006 election results tonight at www.FeministMajority.org.
