More than 1,350 women grabbed their sneakers, skates, and swim caps this summer in Zurich, Switzerland, for the second annual Athletic Women Zurich event. The largest women’s sporting competition in Switzerland, it features a triathlon, runs, walks, and in-line skating races, with athletes of all ages competing—from a 75-year-old marathoner to a four-year-old sprinter. Above, they begin a 1.5K swim, part of the Olympic-level triathlon that includes a 40K bike race and a 10K run.
