Access to Information & Contraception Will Define Quality of Life for Generations to Come

Friday, Advocates for Youth president James Wagoner urged domestic and international policy makers to adhere to the International Conference on Population and Development’s recommendations. Wagoner called on policy makers to extend sex education programs for all school levels, to provide confidential access to contraception for adolescents, and to more aggressively engage public health strategies to reduce HIV/AIDS. “This is the largest generation of youth in the world’s history. The decisions young people make now regarding their sexual and reproductive healththe timing and size of their families—will be the single most important factor on world population over the next century,” Wagoner stated.
