According to the Washington Post, Randall Terry, the founder of the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, will be campaigning for president in order to take advantage of a Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) Communications Act that allows candidates to run even graphic campaign ads in the 45 days prior to the primary election in the state. Terry’s ads, featuring images of dead fetuses, could appear in as many as 40 cities.
Terry stated, “Because I am running for President, the law to run the political ads I see fit, protects me. We will reach tens of millions of Americans, and get enormous media coverage as well.”
Terry’s ads have previously run in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and New Hampshire.
