Bombing Suspect May Be Hiding in Abandoned Mines and Caves

The search for clinic bombing suspect Eric Rudolph continued this week in Andrews, North Carolina with many FBI agents speculating that he may be holing up in caves and abandoned gem mines in an attempt to allude an intense search that has spanned almost 30-square miles and involved over 200 searchers.

“It’s important that everyone, including Eric Rudolph, know that our efforts to apprehend him on the outstanding warrant from Birmingham will never cease,” an official with the Southeast Bomb Task Force told officals yesterday.

Rudolph is charged with last year’s fatal bombing of a Birmingham, Alabama abortion clinic. He is also wanted for questioning concerning three, Atlanta-area blasts.
