Class-Action Sexual Harassment Suit Against Dial Corporation

A federal judge will allow the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to seek damages on behalf of 90 female employees in a class-action lawsuit against Dial Corporation. Male workers at Dial Corporation are accused of repeatedly groping female workers and subjecting them to suggestive remarks. The EEOC says that this case is similar to its 1999 sexual harassment lawsuit against Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, which was settled for $34 million, projecting that damages in the lawsuit against Dial Corporation could surpass $25 million.
