Danish Government Introduces Legislation Banning Minors From Pornographic Films

The government of Denmark presented legislation on Tuesday that would ban models who are younger than 18 years old from being used in pornographic material.

Current law already bans possession of pornographic photographs and film or videos that have minors as models or actors, but there have been recent newspaper reports that Danish and foreign filmmakers have been using Danish teenagers for commercial pornographic films. Under the proposed law, filmmakers convicted of using anyone younger than 18 in adult material would be subject to up to two years in jail.

The Danish parliament is expected to approve the legislation later this year.
