DeGeneres Moves From Hard Times Into Bright Future

After the cancellation of her hit television show, Ellen DeGeneres went through a bout of deep depression.

“Everything that I ever feared happened to me. I lost my show. I’ve been attacked like hell. I went from making a lot of money on a sitcom to making no money,” DeGeneres reported to the Los Angeles Times Magazine Sunday.

“When I walked out of the studio after five years of working so hard, knowing I had been treated so disrespectfully for no other reason than I was gay, I just went into this deep, deep depression, and it’s not like any other networks have called,” DeGeneres said.

With roles in three new movies, things are starting to look up for DeGeneres. She will star in the comedy Good-bye Lover this December, and will also appear in Ron Howard’s edTV this spring.
