The FBI will announce plans today to place still-at-large, anti-abortion extremist Clayton Lee Waagner on its top ten list of most wanted criminals. The Feminist Majority Foundation has been advocating for Waagner’s addition to this list since his first arrest in September 1999. Waagner was indicted this past Tuesday by a grand jury on federal weapons possession charges, each of which could result in a 10-year sentence and a $250,000 fine. His whereabouts remain unknown, and he was last seen in southeast Pennsylvania on September 17 and 18. He was spotted at a Kinko’s in Exton, Chester County, PA, but may no longer be there as law enforcement authorities have verified that he travels widely. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Waagner was arrested in September 1999 after entering the state of Illinois in a stolen Winnebago with his wife and eight children-along with four stolen handguns hidden beneath the driver’s seat. He testified that he had conducted surveillance at reproductive health clinics around the country, and that god asked him to kill abortion doctors. In February, while awaiting sentencing, Waagner escaped a Clinton IL jail. He has since been connected with a bank robbery and several other felonies, including a recent carjacking in Mississippi. He is believed to be armed, possibly with a .40 caliber handgun, and clinics are urged to remain on alert.

- 2001 White/Cream Chrysler Sebring
- 1998 Yellow Lincoln Town Car
- 1998 Burgundy Ford conversion van with a beige stripe
