In south Florida, Catholic priest Jan Malicki has been accused of having sex with two women, and Episcopal priest John Brackett faces accusations of having affairs with two women while promising to marry each one as well as misusing church funds.
Malicki was suspended by the Epiphany Catholic Church in Miami, Florida when one woman accused him of sexual misconduct. Following this accusation, another women issued a similar claim, and stated that she was a minor when the incident occurred. At All Saints Episcopal Church, a letter from the Ecclesiastical Court accuses Brackett of misappropriation of church funds and having affairs with five women.
Neither is being brought up on criminal charges. Both may continue practicing if they are cleared of the accusations after internal investigations.
