FMF’s Campus Program Welcomes New Groups!

Feminists are the majority! According to the 2003 Ms. Magazine poll on feminist attitudes, the majority of this country, 76% support a woman’s right to choose with consent of her doctor. No surprise that our campus program continues to spread like wildfire across the country and the feminist movement on college campus continues to grow! Young women on campus gain leadership, educate their peers on the threats to reproductive rights, and mobilize support for social change!

Big feminist welcome to new groups, the Concordia College FMLA (Minnesota), the Queens College Women’s Center Affiliate, and the Arizona State University Feminist Organization, an FMF Affiliate.

Students at Marymount Manhattan College in New York recently chartered a Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance. After several California State University of Northridge students attended the October 25th Feminist Leadership Summit hosted by the West Coast Campus Team, student members of the CSUN group Violent Acts Grounded (VAG), agreed to affiliate and join the growing network of feminist groups and Feminist Majority Leadership Alliances.

The University of Southern Mississippi FMLA is the first one in their state! The group is dedicated to sending as big of a delegation as possible to go to the March in DC, with a good strategy for minimizing housing costs, renting university vans for transportation, and fundraising.
