The Feminist Majority Foundation’s National Young Women’s Leadership Conference this past weekend was a resounding success! Over 500 attendees came from across the country to discuss some of today’s most pressing issues, including reproductive rights, crisis pregnancy centers, the environment, LGBTQ rights, violence against women, communities of color, the Convention to Eliminate all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the situation of Afghan women and girls, the economy, and more. The two-day conference was filled with some of today’s leading feminist voices, including Hilda Solis, Tina Tchen, Lilly Ledbetter, Dolores Huerta, Eleanor Smeal, Dr. Sima Samar, and Shelby Knox. Many attendees also presented throughout the course of the conference. Conference attendees are participating today in a Congressional Day of Action on Capital Hill.
