Hollywood Squares Helps Afghan Women

Many of the brightest women stars in film, television, and music gathered on the set of host Whoopi Goldberg’s “Hollywood Squares” game show to tape a week’s worth of programs to benefit the Feminist Majority Foundation’s (FMF) Campaign to Help Afghan Women and Girls. The shows, which highlight the needs of women and girls in post-Taliban Afghanistan, will air during the week of April 29 to May 3.

Celebrity participants in the show include Amy Brenneman and Tyne Daly of the feminist hit “Judging Amy;” Camryn Mannheim and Lisa Gay Hamilton of “The Practice;” Debra Messing of “Will and Grace;” Gillian Anderson of “The X-Files” and longtime supporter of both the Campaign to Help Afghan Women and Girls and the Feminist Majority’s Million4Roe Campaign; Joely Fisher of “Baby Bob;” Ming-Na of “ER;” Kathy Bates; Kathy Najimy; Kirstie Alley; Melissa Etheridge; Cheri Oteri; Debi Mazar; and celebrity sponsor of FMF’s Mifepristone and Women’s Health Campaign, Cybill Shepherd.
