To show appreciation for feminist doctors, the INDIANA UNIVERSITY AT BLOOMINGTON FMLA made Thank You cards for all the doctors that prescribe emergency contraception (EC) in their community. In many states across the country doctors and pharmacists are allowed to “opt out” of prescribing and dispensing EC if they choose, making access difficult and even impossible for many women.
