Leadership Alliances Come Together for FMF Mid-Atlantic Region Training

Earlier this month, dozens of Leadership Alliance activists came together to attend a Mid-Atlantic Regional Training organized hosted by the Feminist Majority Foundation’s Campus Organizers. Leadership Alliance activists and students from the UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE, GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY, AMERICAN UNIVERSITY, GOUCHER COLLEGE, THE COLLEGE OF WILLIAM AND MARY, MARY WASHINGTON COLLEGE, and THE COLLEGE OF ST. MARY’S (MD) had the opportunity to learn about feminist issues including the right-wing opposition, Prescribe Choice campaign to promote mifepristone and emergency contraception on campus and the Campaign to Stop Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan. Students were also able to hone their leadership and organizing skills through workshops on press and media, recruitment and retention, and event planning.
