Magazine Only Includes One Women’s Rights Document in Top 100

US News and World Report will publish an issue in December with 10 of the top reader-chosen documents that shaped US history. However, of the 100 documents available for the online vote, only one pertains specifically to women: the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote.

Several of the documents on the list relate to civil rights, including the text of the Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the official program for the March on Washington, which is famous for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Site visitors can vote for up to ten documents that will be published as the Top Ten in an issue of the magazine.
