Massive Anti-War March To Take Place in New York City Saturday

Momentum is building for the massive anti-war march led by nine progressive organizations set for this Saturday, April 29 in New York City. The March for Peace, Justice and Democracy begins near Union Square at noon and ends at Foley Square, where the Peace and Justice Festival will be held until 6 p.m. The National Organization for Women, one of the nine organizers of the March, and other feminist groups are organizing a women’s contingent for the March.

More than 1,500 individuals and organizations are already endorsing the march. Organizers are calling on anyone interested in supporting the cause to sign up to distribute leaflets at key locations throughout New York City, register for a table at the Peace and Justice festival, volunteer transportation or housing, or simply make a donation.
