The SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY FMLA hosted a pay equity bake sale on campus to raise awareness about the wage gap and issues of women in the workplace.
Students from the HAMLINE UNIVERSITY FMLA are sending members to a sleep-out and teach-in to end homelessness. The group is also supporting their Women’s Center and Women’s Studies program by hosting an info-session with their Faculty Advisor who is chairs the Women’s Studies Department.
The UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER FMLA affiliate organized a self-defense workshop and had with 30 people in attendance to learn various techniques for protection against assault.
The SUNY NEW PALTZ FMLA received campus press on their actions, including their work in the campus Unity and Division Day, as well as their ECOTC petitioning efforts.
The CORNELL FMF Affiliate Students for Gender Equality (SAGE), received campus press for an event they organized for international students to share information about gender roles worldwide. The article noted the great lengths that the group took to promote diverse perspectives, including a massive email strategy inviting all international students to participate.
