High school junior Luke Woodham was arrested yesterday for slashing his mother’s throat and his shooting rampage which left two dead and at least six wounded.
Woodham opened fire in the school’s commons area with a rifle, “shooting anybody he could find,” said freshman Mark Wilkerson. Officials closed the school immediately after the shooting, and the injured students were taken to the hospital.
Police Chief Bill Slade said Woodham was angry at his ex-girlfriend, one of the two students killed, and that “he felt he had been wronged.”
