University of Georgia-Athens Affiliate Brings FMF Campus Organizer

Earlier this spring, the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA-ATHENS Women’s Studies Student Association, a Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance Affiliate, hosted a feminist panel with Carey Campbell, FMF Campus Organizer, Corey Zetts, Feminist Women’s Health Center Volunteer Coordinator, and spoken word artist Tyler. Dozens of students attended the session and spoke about activism and reproductive rights issues on campus.

According to Carey Campbell, FMF Campus Organizer, “We were able to talk about anti-choice extremist groups on campus like the Genocide Awareness Project and how to counter the right-wing presence on campus and in the community. We ended up talking much longer than anticipated about reproductive rights.” After the session, the group felt prepared to counter right-wing organizing on campus and in their community.

Good work!
