Veteran Feminists of America Honors Feminist Lawyers Featuring Justice Ginsberg

The Veteran Feminists of America (VFA) will be honoring feminist lawyers today at the Harvard Club of New York City. The VFA Salute to Feminist Lawyers will include an interview with honored guest, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

According to the VFA press release, the luncheon will begin at 12:30 with an interview of Justice Ginsberg, followed by a ceremony honoring of 30 pioneering women. Prior to serving on the Supreme Court, Justice Ginsberg founded the Women’s Rights Project at the American Civil Liberties Union, according to her Biography. The group will also be celebrating the 1973 lawsuit against the Harvard Club of New York City which required the club to finally accept women as full members, as well as the numerous other gains in women’s rights that have been achieved through legal action.
